gathering ingredients to make sparkling strawberry elderflower limeade:

Before you begin making this sparkling strawberry limeade recipe, you will need to gather a few key ingredients! These ingredients can be easily sourced at your local market, but you will have to forage to make the elderflower cordial, or purchase elderflowers or homemade cordial from a local farmer or farmer’s market. You can learn more about foraging for elderflowers in my ultimate cozy guide.

  • Strawberries. To make this strawberry limeade, you will need some fresh strawberries! This recipe calls for 2 cups (336 g) fresh strawberries, but you can also use frozen strawberries that have been thawed and drained.

  • Sugar. For this recipe, I used granulated sugar to make the strawberry syrup. I would suggest using a granulated sugar, but you may choose to use honey. However, the syrup’s consistency may be different.

  • Fresh Lime Juice. For this recipe, I would highly suggest using fresh lime juice. Bottled lime juice is often not purely lime juice and is mixed with other ingredients, which is not ideal for drinking!

  • Elderflower Cordial. To flavor this drink with the floral essence of elderflower, I used homemade elderflower cordial. You can also purchase bottled elderflower cordial or substitute this element for simple syrup.

  • Sparkling Water or Club Soda.

  • Fresh Mint.
