Seasonal Spring Floral Arrangement with Ball® Pint Jars

Hello, friend! Can you believe spring is finally here? It has been such a wonderful season so far here in Iowa. Of course, where we live that could easily change in a matter of hours, I am choosing to embrace this warm, sunny weather while it lasts. I even like the rain and thunderstorms! It feels like a breakthrough year for me, and I hope that the feeling continues to last. I hope that you are feeling the same after all that has happened in the past year.

I wanted to share with you today that I am joining with @ballcanning for a second year of being a Ball® Home Canning Ambassador. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this team of incredible influencers and share the products of a USA made brand that I use literally every single day. Ball® Jars are a main part of our household, helping us to preserve the foods we harvest out of the garden, store dried apothecary items and handmade bath and beauty products, organize craft and cleaning supplies, and they’re our only drinking glasses!

This year I am excited to share more home preserving tips and recipes, home organization ideas, crafts, floral arrangements, and more with the makers of Ball® Home Canning products!

I decided for my first project to share with you, that I would create a spring floral arrangement. I was able to find some daffodils, tulips, and pussy willow in my yard. The previous owner planted an abundant secret garden here! When we first walked through at our new home it was in early June, so the spring flowers had stopped blooming at that point. There were so many summer perennials showing their colors, but I remember noticing all of the peonies and their flat green leaves peeking out behind butterfly bushes and ferns. Now that I have been working hard to clean out the garden beds (something I did not do this past autumn as I had just given birth), I am finding that the entire yard is planted in peonies, iris, daffodils, tulips, grape hyacinth, ferns, and so much more. We have been trying really hard to not make too many major changes this year as we are not sure what all she has planted. So far, we have taken out a lot of little ornamental trees and shrubs that were in awkward places. I cannot wait to share more about our yard, but for now… spring flowers!

We love using the Ball® Smooth Sided Pint Jars for our floral arrangements in our shop because they give the small bouquet an overall clean look. We have been using pint jars to sell our arrangements for years, and we now have our customers use them for workshops and at our flower bar. They are an ideal vessel because of their size. You do not have to feel overwhelmed to have an outrageously designed arrangement, but you can really pack a lot of blooms into it! They are also wonderful for table settings as they are short enough to chat with someone from across the table and still be seen. We love them!

What spring flowers are blooming where you live?

xoxo Kayla
